How SegMetrics collects ad spend data #

SegMetrics automatically integrates with advertising platforms including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and others to fetch ad spend data. The platform handles data collection seamlessly without requiring manual imports or data entry. Your ad spend metrics update automatically to reflect current spending across all connected advertising accounts.

Viewing ad spend in reports #

Navigate to the Advertising report at https://app.segmetrics.io/a/report/ads to view your ad spend data.

The top-line metrics display the total ad spend across all connected advertising platforms.

Scroll down to see a breakdown of all connected advertising platforms with total ad spend for each platform. Click the Ad Campaigns, Ad Sets, or Ads tabs to view spend data at more granular levels.

Segmenting by ad account or platform #

To filter the entire advertising report to show data from only specific ad accounts:

  1. Click +Add Filter at the top of the report
  2. Select Clicked Ad from the filter type options
  1. Click Ad Account from the property list
  1. Check the individual account(s) you want to include in the report
  1. Click Confirm

The advertising report now displays only ad spend and performance data from the selected account(s). You can segment by other dimensions including campaign, ad set, ad name, or keyword by selecting different properties from the filter dropdown.

Segmenting allows you to analyze the performance of specific ad accounts or platforms separately, providing granular insight into where your advertising budget delivers the strongest return.
